Andrea Henry
Andrea Henry is a Vocalist, Songwriter, Visual Artist, and Community Outreach Artist.
Andrea is most recognized as a former member of the platinum selling - Juno nominated group, Sugar Jones who toured across Canada, and the UK. She is of Caribbean descent, of Dominican heritage, from the island, Dominica.
As a youth growing up in Hamilton, Andrea developed her artistic skills keeping active in her community as a volunteer, mentor and performing artist.
Andrea continues to be active in the community and has performed at top venues and festivals such as Rock, Paper, Sistahz, NXNE, Nuit Blanche, and many more. Her artwork has been featured in many art installations, workshops, and in set and costume design for the play "Keen" during Summer Works festival.
Andrea has collaborated with many artists and has worked with corporate and non-profit organizations over the years such as, L'Oreal Paris, Bcurrent, Amnesty Toronto, Lakeshore Arts, Dr. Roz Healing Place, Toronto District School Board, YWCA, United Way, Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, African Caribbean Cultural Potpourri productions, former NBA star Jerome "Junk Yard Dog" Williams, Weston Mount Dennis Boys and Girls Club and many more. Her face has been featured on the Golden Queen Product Line, and she was a correspondent for America's Next Top Model Toronto where she interviewed top stylists, artists and models.
Ms. Henry is currently in the studio working on new material, with updates to her website. (Release date of the work to be confirmed). Andrea is influenced by a diverse range of genres. Her musical sound is an eclectic soul vibe. With her down to earth style she continues to use her creative talent to connect with her community.
