Alexandra Thomas

 

Alexandra Thomas is a nineteen-year-old student from Stoney Creek, Ontario. She was born in Hamilton but has a love for the culture of her parent's homeland, Trinidad.

 

She is a first year nursing student at McMaster University. Alex spends her spare time volunteering for many causes including the CIBC Run for the Cure, Pine Villa Nursing home and VON Hamilton Day Centre.

 

Her passions include playing soccer, playing the steelpan and one day becoming a cardiologist.

 

Since learning how to play the soprano pan ten years ago, she has gone on to become the Manager of Symphonyx Steel Orchestra and one of the leading soprano players of that band, which is based out of Scarborough, Ontario.

 

She was recently appointed the co-chair of the board of Symphonyx Entertainment. She continues to perform on a voluntary basis at various functions throughout Hamilton.
